Local violinist Kristel Birkholtz has scooped international acclaim in the Global Music Awards in the instrumental category with her performance of her original composition ‘Wildflower’ written during the lockdown period. She was honoured with a bronze medal for this submission amongst hundreds of international submissions.
The judges are looking for musical submissions that connect emotionally with the ability to transcend and make the listener experience something that is new and compelling.
