A glittering awards evening for YLC at Investec for an event honouring women in leadership and achievement. Ladies were treated to a musical walk down the red carpet on arrival.
Opening Act
Beauty and the Beat were asked to be the opening act for a well-known local artist this past weekend. Though the event was in a small town community, the crowd had big hearts , enjoying every minute of the show as did we!

To create lively a atmosphere at a recent SA Cricket event, VioRimba serenaded guests adding some local flavour and feel-good vibes. Think Marimbas, Africa drums and a one-of -a-kind Tin Can Violin and you have a recipe for local entertainment that is elegant yet vibrant.
All Lit Up
Taking our costume cue from the Tech-Forward themed event, Beauty and the Beat were lit up in LEDs and presented an innovative performance. A short video from the evening of our version the jazz classic “Fever” is available here: Fever Video Beauty and the Beat
You’ll see the LED lights twinkling and a few audience members ‘clicking’ along to the memorable bassline.

Global Music Awards Bronze Finalist
Local violinist Kristel Birkholtz has scooped international acclaim in the Global Music Awards in the instrumental category with her performance of her original composition ‘Wildflower’ written during the lockdown period. She was honoured with a bronze medal for this submission amongst hundreds of international submissions.
The judges are looking for musical submissions that connect emotionally with the ability to transcend and make the listener experience something that is new and compelling. An all-white themed party event for a sweet 16th was the perfect setting for the all new white carpet dress violin performance.
Molton Brown Perfume Launch
An excited bunch of influencers, press and beauty people were treated to a perfume launch by Molton Brown at Skins Cosmetics in Sandton. The theme was ‘All things British’ and guests were treated to a Violin performance of British pop with personalized bottle engraving adding an extra special touch.
