A performance for internal staff awards event at The University of Johannesburg was the lovely cosy spot for tonight’s event. The campus grounds were lush with the Jacarandas just coming into bloom.
It was the first evening that the staff of the department had all been in the same room since the start of the pandemic, making for a warm , joyful mood as guests caught up and as one guest remarked -she was so happy to be dressed up to the nines again!
Despite the very cold wintry day music, wine and fine dining was the highlight of a private dinner party, ‘Come Dine With Me’ -style. Guests rose to the challenge and dressed up in their finest. All were treated to a red carpet walk accompanied by moi on violin.

A sumptuous dinner cooked for friends, complete with table décor, dress up and live music.
A cosy setting at the deluxe Royal Elephant Hotel was the setting for a sweet 60th birthday party. Guests were treated to a special set menu accompanied by violin music. The organiser had this to say :
‘ Thank you very, very much for yesterday, your contribution to making our event a success was fantastic. Everyone is talking about how beautiful it was. Your professional performance is appreciated. I will boldly recommend you to others ! ‘

A morning breakfast spent with PCO Alliance and Capital on Park Hotel demonstrating that events can continue safely.
With my violin replaced by a bunch of bright balloons and a hamper of champagne, I set off to deliver a musical telegram, a message sung to the well-known ‘Time after Time’ by Cindy Lauper. The celebration was for a local company merger with a new supplier.
The balloons caused quite a stir at the office block and the look of surprise and engagement on the faces of the board-meeting members as I sang the message, was priceless.
