A break-up song, change the world ditty and a wedding entrance tune
As the festive season starts to get underway, it was sweet to have a violin recording session today for a little kids poem about Christmas, all set to music.
Thanks to ‘It’s Classical’ for adding my new song ‘ Wildflower’ to their fine playlist. It features new classical compositions as well as re-arrangements of classical works.

Wildflower-Contemporary Classics
Today’s recording session was a custom-written song for an upcoming wedding entrance song. I think the final recording will be very special to the bride-to-be and her dad who requested the recording.
Film shoots usually start early, so I got to see the sun rise on set this morning for a romantic scene, whilst playing some classical numbers.
I am so grateful for opportunities like this at a time when places to play are few and far between.
Think Tom Bombadil from Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings… the inspiration for today’s remote recording session, played here on Murray Kuun’s superb violin.

Another online violin session done and dusted. It is so interesting to play the varied range of compositions that come through for session work. Today’s one was a little country number about a dorpie.

The Wheel Keeps Turning (instrumental)-A rock inspired instrumental
This instrumental version of Wheel Keeps Turning (vocal version as recorded by Cherry Pill) reflects the the ever-changing seasons of life. The song draws on imagery from the world around to represent how life and times can change.
‘Seasons come, seasons go, but there’s one thing that I know; it’s that the wheel comes around again’.
The song could be described as well delivered rock sound where the solo violin melody pairs up with the gritty guitars, including some blues-tinged phrasing and a bit of dramatic flair in the string accompaniment.
