There is something magical about a Theatre. The red fold-up chairs, the glow of warm lights and the moments of prose or song that seem to hang in the air. Stepping out onto the stage at the Market Theatre for a private event this weekend felt like stepping into an ongoing production of plays, musicals, and concerts that tell our stories past, present and future.
Tears That Flow (Instrumental) is a violin led version of a vocal song I wrote and released by the same name with my band Cherry Pill. Listen out for soaring melodic choruses and pensive verse parts.The song was inspired by overcoming a period of physical and personal drought. Tears that Flow recalls the feeling of longing for the return of something you once had or a hunger for something new. The contemplative ‘Tears That Flow’ will gently take you to that place of yearning.

It’s the start of the rainy season here in Gauteng with some big downpours. It reminded me of a recent improvisation I did on ‘Singing in the Rain’ the carefree song from the 1952 film of the same name. Hope it brightens your day!

With spring in the air and blossoms on the trees, Shepstone’s Garden was a perfect setting for this mid-week engagement event… and she said yes!
A morning breakfast spent with PCO Alliance and Capital on Park Hotel demonstrating that events can continue safely.
A Chef and a violinist make the dinner for two a special event. With the violin way up high on the balcony and the romantic couple below make sure social distancing is observed. It was lovely to see a couple finding a way to celebrate life and love amidst the restrictions of lock-down.
